We all know the sad statistics about hunger in the U.S. And we all know how we can help if we're moved to donate -- local food banks, church pantries, government organizations.
But when I read that 1 in 5 girls right here in the U.S. has either left school early or missed school entirely because they lack basic feminine hygiene products . . . speechless.
And I also realized I had NO IDEA what I could do, where I could go, to help.
I mean, people are hoarding TOILET PAPER, 'cuz God forbid we should run out of THAT when we need it.
Can you even imagine what it would be like trying to deal with your period with nothing, I mean, NOTHING? What do you do?
Rags? Paper towels?
Don't believe me? Watch this: https://youtu.be/zEqTEmNkP1Y
But there IS something we can all do. In honor of International Women's Day, Always is donating period products to women and girls in need.
